It is suitable for mixing with fragrances and oil-soluble colorants.

No animal-derived products are used and no animal testing has been conducted in its manufacture.

Due to the prevalence of genetically modified soy crops in the market, we cannot guarantee that the sources are completely GMO-free, but our goal is to obtain them GMO-free whenever possible.

Melting Point / Pouring Temperature

Pouring Temperature: 55º C (+- 5º C)

Melting Point: 51º C 

WARNING: never heat the wax above 80ºC

Molds

Molds must be clean and free of contaminants. They should be at least at room temperature, although preheating them to approximately 45-50 °C can be beneficial.

Fragrance

Our Soy Wax supports between 5% and 10% fragrance load with oil-based fragrance oils specifically designed for natural waxes. This will allow excellent integration of fragrances and oil-soluble colorants, resulting in a final product with a deep and attractive aroma.

Pay particular attention to the type of fragrance you use; if you use fragrances designed for paraffin candles, you may get poor results such as weak scent throw, poor flame quality, wick mushrooming, and an objectionable finish.

Color

When using powdered colorants, heat the wax to approximately 75 °C, add the colorant, and stir until dissolved.

Powdered colorants can also be dissolved in fragrance and then added to the melted wax; make sure the colorant is completely dissolved before adding it.

When using powdered colorants dissolved in fragrance, liquid colorants, or color blocks, heat the wax to 70 °C.

If you want your candle to be darker or "more intense," add a little black colorant to the color you are using.

Wicks

Natural waxes may require a wick diameter larger than what a candle made with paraffins would require.

The fragrance you use (we recommend BrambleBerry or the Mommy's Fragrances), as well as the colorants and the overall candle configuration, have a very significant impact when choosing the right wick.

It is recommended to perform a burn test once the candle has rested at least 48 hours to verify if the chosen wick is appropriate.

Pouring

The pouring temperature can vary depending on the type of mold to use and its size, the fragrance you use, the colorants, and the effects you want to achieve with your candle.

For optimal results, it is recommended to pour the wax at a temperature between 55 and 60°C, although this depends on the type and shape of the container/mold you are using.

If you have problems with the pouring temperature, you can try increasing or decreasing the temperature in 5ºC intervals. Also consider pouring the candle into preheated molds.

Curing Time

A minimum curing time of 48 hours is recommended, in a room at room temperature, away from drafts, before performing the burn test.

Burn Test

Always check the wick you use.

Perform the burn test once 48 hours have passed since pouring to ensure the wick performs properly, burning evenly with a balanced flame consistent in your candle.

REMEMBER: Any combination of container, wax, fragrance, color, and wick must be tested to ensure a quality burn.
